Terms and Conditions

1. Booking
1. The first booking can only be confirmed following a consultation between Buster’s Buddies and the client, where all the needs are discussed and paperwork completed.
2. A service contract will then be drawn up and presented for you to read through and sign.
3. Further bookings can be completed by contacting us either by emailing dave.compton@sky.com or calling 07714 648990.
4. Buster's Buddies will provide a time interval during which visits will occur as with the nature of Dog walking we can not guarantee exact timings.

2. Cancellations
1. You may cancel your booked slot providing you give us 24 hours notice.
2. All bookings cancelled within 24 hours will be payable in full. 
3. If Buster's Buddies cannot provide the service agreed, we will do our best to arrange a suitable alternative. 

3. General
1. The service user gives Buster's Buddies permission to enter their property to carry out the booked service at the arranged date and time.
2. The service user must complete the 'Client & Pet Information Form' provided by Buster's Buddies giving a name and contact telephone number of someone capable of making a decision relating to their pet(s) in an emergency.
3. The 'Veterinary release form' must be completed before any services can take place. This form includes details of your nominated vet and they will be contacted if we are unable to communicate with the service user or your representative. Please note that in an emergency we will use any nearest vet.
4. The client agrees to be responsible for all costs (including but not limited to medical care, legal fees, etc) if the client’s pet(s) should bite another animal. 
5. Client agrees that on booking services for their dog(s) that they have represented that the dog(s) to have not shown aggression or caused harm, or threatening behaviour to any individual and/or any pet(s), and the client agrees to contact the provider as soon as possible if any of these behavioural changes presents itself or if it has the potential to cause harm to any individual or pet(s). 
6. If the client’s dog(s) whilst being walked shows aggressive tendencies towards Buster's Buddies or their family, or should its behaviour become unacceptable or a nuisance beyond reasonable acceptance, the client agrees that the service is terminated with immediate effect and the pet is to be returned to the location where it was collected.
7. The Client agrees to ensure their dog has not eaten in the hour before pick up by Buster's Buddies to ensure sufficient time to digest food before any exercise or play. Failure to do so may result in the potentially life-threatening condition Bloat (Gastric Torsion).
8. Buster's Buddies are insured to walk up to 6 dogs but we normally walk a maximum of 4 dogs per walker to ensure a safe and enjoyable walk for all dogs in our care. We will always try to walk dogs together of similar size, age and that get on well together.
9. Buster's Buddies offer services where dogs co-mingle in groups and the Client accepts that during the course of normal dog play their dog may sustain injuries. All dog play is carefully monitored to avoid injury, but scratches, punctures, torn ligaments, or other injuries may occur despite the best supervision.
10. Buster's Buddies will properly dispose of your pet(s) waste. For cat litter trays we do request that you provide all necessary items such as scooper, cat litter and plastic bags and indicate where you would like these waste bags disposed of.  The same for any other home based animal.  For dog walking we will properly dispose of pet waste and we will provide waste bags for this.
11. You will entrust Buster's Buddies to use best judgment in caring for your pet(s) and home at the time of inclement weather. Buster's Buddies will try to carry out your instructions to the best of their ability. However, in cases of extreme weather such as the heatwave we had last year, we will contact you with alternative arrangements.
12. Buster's Buddies will clean up after your pets to the best of our ability, however we are not responsible for carpet/flooring stains created by your pet(s). 
13. Buster's Buddies does not accept any responsibility or liability for any clients animals that escape or become lost or injured, fatal or otherwise, when instructed to leave the clients animals in a fenced area. This includes electronic, wood, metal or any other type of fence, or in a premises that contains an unlocked cat flap. 
14. All dogs must be microchipped and wear a collar and tag with the name, address and contact details of the owner engraved upon it.
15. All dogs must be provided with a well-fitting collar / harness. Buster's Buddies will not be held liable for any injury or any damage caused or incurred by the service user’s dog escaping due to an ill-fitting or faulty collar / harness.
16. Dog(s) must be in a secure location prior to collection by the dog walker.
17. We will only let your dog off lead if you have given us permission in writing. Your dog will be kept on lead for the first few initial walks until they become familiar with us.
18. Buster's Buddies must be informed if your dog does or has ever used a muzzle and this should be made available for use at our discretion.
19. The Client consents to their dog being photographed or videoed and used on our website and any other social media for Buster's Buddies without prior approval. Should you not wish to have images of your pet displayed please inform Buster's Buddies of your wishes and we will not use them and remove any images of them from our website as soon as possible.

4. Holiday services 
1. If our services are booked while you are away from the house for more than 24 hours a Home information form will need to be completed
2. Details of shut off points for services such as the Water Stop Tap and Electrical Fuse Box are to be provided on the Home Information Sheet.
3. In the event of a household emergency, your emergency contact will be contacted to arrange any remedial work. 
4. Please leave your thermostat settings within a normal comfortable range. If the house temperature is outside of this range, Buster's Buddies will adjust the thermostat to ensure the health and comfort of your pet(s). 
5. If you are in a restricted parking zone a Parking permit must be provided for any service where we are required to be at your home for a significant period. Any pet sitting, puppy care, cat care etc requires this. Dog walking services do not require this as we will just be collecting and dropping off.

5. Keys 
1. Buster's Buddies will obtain a copy of your house key during the initial consultation. This key will be held by the pet sitter/dog walker and will be coded for security and kept securely. 
2. It is recommended that your keys remain in Buster's Buddies’s custody for convenience in the future use of our service. 
3. If the service provided is to cover holidays while you are away from home for more than 24 hours 2 sets of keys will be required.
4. If at any time Buster's Buddies misplace your key you will be informed immediately
5. All keys will be returned on termination of service or at any time at your request

6. Data
1. All of your information supplied will be kept private and confidential. 
2. Buster's Buddies highly respects our client entrusting us with the care of their home and pets.
3. All of our records will be stored in compliance with the Data Protection Act 1998.
4. You have the right to access any personal information we have stored about you or your pet at any time
5. Upon termination of our services we will no longer retain any personal information
6. Please inform us of any changes regarding your contact numbers, your pet’s care needs, your emergency contact details and any other pertinent information.

7. Medication/Vaccinations
1. Buster's Buddies will follow instructions to administer medications as directed but cannot be held responsible for complications that arise as a result.
2. Clients must inform Buster's Buddies if their dog contracts any infectious condition (e.g. Kennel cough, conjunctivitis). Any dog with an infectious condition will not be walked in a group until cleared to do so by a vet.
3. For Dog Walking we require confirmation that all vaccinations are up to date as well as being on a regular form of flea and worm control treatment.  
4. If Buster's Buddies is bitten or exposed to any disease or ailment received from the clients pet(s) which has not been properly or currently vaccinated, the client will be responsible for all costs and damages that may be incurred as a result.

8. Insurance 
1. All reasonable care is taken to ensure the integrity and suitability of the care provided. 
2. Buster's Buddies has valid public & products liability insurance, for the peace of mind of its clients. 
3. The insurance only covers Buster's Buddies, for the duration of the selected service, and only for services agreed. 
4. It is the client’s responsibility to ensure that the property, its contents and pets are adequately insured throughout the duration of the assignment.

9.  Other Scheduled Services 
1. Buster's Buddies does not accept liability for other persons who will be in your home prior to, during or immediately after our services have been rendered. 
2. Please inform us at the time of consultation of anyone who may have access to your home while you are away. This includes cleaning services, maintenance personnel, friends, family and neighbours. 
3. It is understood that the client will notify anyone with access to the home that the services of Buster's Buddies have been engaged.

10. Pricing/Payment
1. Please see Charges for up to date pricing for individual services.
2. Buster's buddies will supply an invoice at the end of the working week.
3. Invoices should be paid within 14 days of receipt. If you do not make any payment to us, or if we are unable to collect a payment from you by the due date, we may charge you interest on the overdue amount.
4. Buster's Buddies accepts payment by cash, cheque or bank transfer (details supplied on the invoice)
5. Where services are required long term, the client may make payment on a monthly basis. 
6. Where payment is not received in accordance with these terms and conditions of business, the company reserves the right not to proceed with any previously agreed arrangements, and a cancellation fee will be payable. 

11. Liability
1. Buster's Buddies shall not be liable to the client or be deemed to be in breach of the contract by reason of any delay in performing, or any failure to perform, any of it’s obligations in relation to the services, if the delay or failure was due to any cause beyond Buster's Buddies reasonable control.

12. Acceptance of these T&Cs
1. Using Buster's Buddies services constitutes acceptance of these terms and conditions.  These terms and conditions may change at any point and we will ensure the latest version is available on our website. Please do not hesitate to contact us for an up to date copy of them.
